***Volunteer through your local church and get involved in prison ministry programs.  You can find information on prison ministries and volunteer training programs by going to www.pfm.org (Prison Fellowship Ministries). 
***Write letters to inmates to encourage them in their place of hopelessness. There are many prison pen pal sites, and a few Christian pen pal sites.
